24th Annual Lone Star Vegetarian Chili Cook-Off

The Chili Cook-off is coming back to Austin this year, at the same cool location it was held in 2008 and 2009, the Burnet Road Farmers Market. The VNA will be competing with their own team once again, as well as tabling and handing out literature. We need volunteers for our crews, as well as volunteers for the cook-off itself (which gets you free chili!). Come participate in this annual tradition. Or at least come (and bring your friends) to see just how good vegan chili can be! See their website for more information.

VNA wins Best of Austin 2011 award from Austin Chronicle

The Austin Chronicle has given the Vegetarian Network of Austin its Critics' Pick for "Best Virtual Veggies"! We tied with our friends VegAustin.com. The Chronicle said: "One [local] group, the Vegetarian Network of Austin, offers a variety of services through its own website, www.vegnetaustin.org, where you'll find information on membership, a calendar of events, and public education and awareness on vegetarianism." We're tremendously grateful for the honor!
